St. Mary Parish Daily Arrest Log - December 29, 2011:
Lucien P. Theriot 22 yoa of 163 Patureau Dr., Bayou L'Ourse, La. was arrested on 12-28-2011 at 12:19 pm for Failure to Signal, Possession of Marijuana and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. Deputy was patrolling Lake Palourde road in Amelia when suspect vehicle was observed making a right hand turn from Friendship Alley without using a signal. Deputy conducted a traffic stop and during investigation received consent to search vehicle and located drug paraphernalia. Deputy also located a small amount of marijuana on suspect's person. Suspect was placed under arrest and issued a summons to appear in court on 3-14-2012.
On 12-28-2011 at 3:46 pm a Juvenile Male 14 yoa of Bayou Vista was arrested for Two Counts of Illegal Possession of Stolen Things, Illegal Possession of Tobacco Products and Possession of Marijuana 2nd. Juvenile was brought into Morgan City Sheriff's Office for an investigation into thefts. After investigation juvenile was placed under arrest, processed and released to guardian pending juvenile court proceedings.
Bruce Matherne 45 yoa of 1015 Ethel St., Lockport, La. was arrested on 12-28-2011 at 11:43 pm for Hit and Run. Deputy was patrolling the Amelia area, when he observed suspect vehicle back into a vehicle at the Chevron Station and leave the scene. Deputy stopped vehicle and after conducting investigation suspect was placed under arrest and issued a summons to appear in court on 3-14-2012.
Chris Bergeron 34 yoa of 162 Teddy Loop, Houma, La. was arrested on 12-29-2011 at 12:16 am for Disturbing the Peace Intoxicated. Deputy was patrolling the Amelia area, when suspect was observed causing a disturbance in the parking lot of the Chevron and then entering a vehicle that backed into another vehicle and leaving the scene. Deputy conducted a traffic stop and after investigation above suspect was placed under arrest and booked into the parish jail with a $250.00 bond and was later released.
Christopher Hawkins 44 yoa of 121 Navarro St., Charenton was arrested on 12-29-2011 at 12:43 am for Aggravated Second Degree Battery and a Warrant for Failure to Appear on the charges of Battery on a Police Officer, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and Resisting an Officer. Deputy was called to Franklin Foundation in reference to a subject being stabbed. Upon Deputy's arrival it was learned from victim that he was standing outside a residence on Navarro St. in Charenton, when he and suspect got into an argument. Suspect then went into his residence and returned with a knife, when victim and suspect then wrestled over the weapon. Suspect then stabbed victim on the back left shoulder. Deputy went to Navarro St. and located suspect standing on the street. After investigation suspect was placed under arrest and booked into the parish jail with no bond at this time.
