St. Mary Parish Arrests

Germany Broussard, 34, 519 Leona Street, Morgan City, LA was arrested on April 19, 2014 at 3:21 am on two warrants for failure to appear on the traffic offenses. A deputy assisting Morgan City Police with crowd control at a business on Highway 182 observed Broussard at the location. The deputy knew Broussard held active warrants for his arrest. Broussard was transported to the parish jail for booking and incarceration. No bond is set.

Ricky Collins, 56, 119 Martin Luther King Road, Charenton, LA was arrested on April 19, 2014 at 6:54 pm for aggravated second degree battery. A deputy responded to a report of a possible cutting near the intersection of Joe White Street and Martin Luther King Road in Charenton. During the course of the investigation, the deputy learned that two male subjects were involved in verbal altercation when one of the subjects, identified as Collins, attacked the other. During the physical encounter, Collins cut the male victim several times with a box cutter. The victim sustained lacerations to his hand, chest, and stomach. The victim was treated at a local hospital and later released. Collins was transported to the parish jail for booking and incarceration. No bond is set.

Deidre Blanchard, 49, 604 Delohomme Avenue, Scott, LA was arrested on April 20, 2014 at 1:47 am for careless operation of a motor vehicle, driving while intoxicated, and possession of Schedule IV drugs. Using a description given by a complainant, a deputy responding to a report of a reckless driver in the Calumet area located the vehicle near the Highway 317 overpass. The deputy observed the vehicle swerving from lane to lane and conducted a traffic stop. Upon making contact with the driver, identified as Blanchard, the deputy smelled the strong odor of an alcoholic beverage on her breath and person. Blanchard performed poorly on the field sobriety test and later registered a 0.119g% blood alcohol concentration on a breath test. Blanchard was transported to the parish jail for booking and incarceration. During booking, several pills were located in Blanchard's purse. The pills were identified as Xanax. Blanchard was unable to provide a prescription for the pills. No bond is set.

Wayne Lagarde, 31, 211 Shivers Street, Patterson, LA was arrested on April 20, 2014 at 12:32 pm for violation of the parish vicious animal ordinance. A deputy responded to a complaint of a dog biting a male subject on Shivers Street. Upon arrival, the deputy learned that Lagarde's dog, a Pit Bull, bit a male victim on the leg while the man was walking in the street. The victim was treated at a local medical facility and later released. Lagarde was provided with a copy of the parish's vicious dog ordinance and advised that of what he needed to do to be in compliance with the regulation. Lagarde was arrested and released on a summons to appear in court on July 11, 2014.

Linda Lange, 50, 2112 Herbert Street, Franklin, LA was arrested on April 20, 2014 at 8:32 pm for disturbing the peace (intoxication), resisting an officer (refusing to give information), and misrepresentation during booking. A deputy investigating a complaint of a physical altercation at a residence on Herbert Street made contact with a female subject who began yelling and hollering. The deputy observed the female subject to be intoxicated. The female subject refused to lower her voice and refused to provide the deputy with her name. The deputy later identified the subject as Lange, who was transported to the parish jail for booking and incarceration. During booking, Lange again refused to identify herself. No bond is set.

Gerald Crooks, 52, 374 Degravelle Road, Amelia, LA was arrested on April 21, 2014 at 1:22 am for remaining where forbidden. A deputy responded to a complaint of a subject returning to a business on Highway 182 in Amelia after being advised to leave the premises. Crooks had been advised to leave the business by a deputy earlier that same evening. Crooks' vehicle was located on Lake Palourde Road. Following an investigation, Crooks was transported to the parish jail for booking and incarceration. No bond is set.

Robert Pigg, 21, 205 Jackson Avenue, Carthage, MS was arrested on April 21, 2014 for possession of Schedule III (testosterone) and possession of drug paraphernalia. A narcotics detective received information regarding drugs found on an employee at a business in Amelia. During the course of the investigation, the deputy learned that an independent K-9 detective team located illegal steroids on Pigg. Pigg was transported to the parish jail for booking and incarceration. No bond is set.
Anuar Medina-Rojas, 21, 1188 Lake View Drive, Amelia, LA was arrested on April 17, 2014 at 7:37 pm for possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia. Detectives of the St. Mary Parish Sheriff's Office Narcotics Division patrolling the Berwick area observed a vehicle fail to properly signal a turn onto Lima Street and conducted a traffic stop. Detectives made contact with the driver, identified as Median-Rojas. Detectives received consent to search the vehicle and located marijuana and a smoking pipe inside. Median-Rojas was released on a summons to appear in court on July 11, 2014.

Darlene Wilson, 28, 301 Carol Road, Bayou Vista, LA was arrested on April 17, 2014 at 9:27 pm on the following charges:
- Possession of Schedule II (hydromorphone)
- Possession of Schedule II (Aderall)
- Possession of Schedule III (Suboxone & Zubsolv)
- Possession of Legend Drugs (Deplin, Zofran, orphenadrine citrate, Sumatriptan, ketorolac tromethamine, dexamethasone sodium phosphate, and sodium chloride) without a prescription

Narcotics detectives conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for improper lane usage on Carol Road in Bayou Vista. Detectives made contact with the driver, identified as Wilson, and received consent to search her person and vehicle. Detectives located several vials of hydromorphone concealed on her person as well as several Deplin pills. During the search of the vehicle, detectives located more vials and other medication listed in the above charges. During the course of the investigation, detectives discovered that Wilson, a registered nurse, stole some of the medication in her possession from her employer in the Morgan City area. Wilson was transported to the parish jail for booking and incarceration. Wilson was later released on a $4,500 bond.
