St. Mary Parish Arrest Report: February 18, 2010

According to Sheriff David Naquin during the last 24 hours the Sheriff's Office responded to 30 complaints and reports the following arrests:

 

Casey S. Gillespie 19 yoa and Starr A. Ashby 33 yoa both of Oscar Rivette, Arnaudville, La. was arrested on 2-17-2010 at 2:06 pm for Theft by Shoplifting with Gillespie also being charged with Public Possession of Alcohol. Deputy was called to Wal-mart in Bayou Vista in reference to shoplifters. Upon Deputy's arrival store security advised above suspects were observed taking beer and concealing them on their persons. After investigation both suspects were placed under arrest with Gillespie being booked into the parish jail with a $750.00 bond and was later released and Ashby being issued a summons to appear in court on 5-25-2010.

 

Clement J. Mire 27 yoa of Lake Palourde Road, Amelia and Jamaul A. Wallace 20 yoa of Village Lane, Amelia were arrested on 2-17-2010 at 2:35 pm for Off Road Vehicle on a Roadway with Mire also being charged with No Driver's License and Wallace also being charged with Driving Under Suspension. Deputy was patrolling the Amelia area, when he observed above suspects riding an ATV and a dirt bike on
Duhon Blvd. and conducted a traffic stop. After investigation suspects were placed under arrest on above charges and issued a summons to appear in court on 5-26-2010.

 

Steve E. Mitchell 44 yoa of Mitchell St., Franklin was arrested on 2-17-2010 at 8:43 pm for Domestic Abuse Battery. Deputy was called to above location in reference to a disturbance. Upon Deputy's arrival it was learned that complainant and suspect were involved in an argument when suspect pushed her down and committed a battery upon her. After investigation suspect was placed under arrest and booked into the parish jail with no bond at this time.

 

Courtney J. Long 31 yoa of Third St., Morgan City was arrested on 2-17-2010 at 11:16 pm on warrants for Failure to Appear on the charges of Speeding and No Insurance and Failure to Appear on the charge of Issuing Worthless Checks. Deputy was patrolling the Amelia area, when he conducted a traffic stop on Hwy 182. During investigation it was learned of warrants for suspect's arrest. Suspect was placed under arrest and booked into the parish jail with no bond at this time.
