According to St. Mary Parish Sheriff Mark Hebert, over the last 24 hour reporting period the Sheriff's Office responded to 41 complaints and reports the following arrests:
Kendall R. Banks, 18, 302 Carol Road Apt. #12, Bayou Vista, LA was arrested on January 2, 2014 at 3:28 pm for theft (over $500).
Ryan J. Bowman, 18, 635 Teche Road Lot B, Bayou Vista, LA was arrested on January 2, 2014 at 3:28 pm for theft (over $500).
On December 29, 2013, St. Mary Parish Sheriff's Office received a report of a theft that occurred at a business on Siracusa Road in Morgan City. Working with video surveillance, the detective identified Banks and Bowman as suspects in the theft. Both men admitted to taking items from the yard that could be sold as scrap. Banks and Bowman were released on summonses to appear in court on March 28, 2014.
Frank Rock, Jr., 26, 321 Highway 182, Bayou Vista, LA was arrested on January 3, 2014 at 7:28 pm on the following charges:
- Simple assault
- Simple criminal damage to property
- Disturbing the peace
- Battery of a police officer
- Threatening a public official
A deputy responded to a complaint of a disturbance at a residence in Bayou Vista. Upon arrival, the deputy learned that Rock and a female victim were involved in an argument when he struck and shattered a glass door at the residence. Rock also threatened the victim's life. Fearing for her life, the victim fled to a neighbor's residence. As the deputy placed Rock under arrest, Rock hit the deputy with his head. Rock also made threats directed to the deputy. Rock was transported to the parish jail for booking and incarceration. No bond is set.
Tracy Silva, 49, 402 Halsey Street, Morgan City, LA was arrested on January 2, 2014 at 6:40 pm on the following charges:
- Warrant for theft of goods, simple battery, and aggravated assault
- Warrant for failure to appear on the charge of theft
- Warrant from Houma City Court
A deputy responded to a report of a possible abandoned vehicle on Highway 182 in Amelia. The deputy made contact with the driver, identified as Silva, and subsequently learned of the active warrants for her arrest. Silva was transported to the parish jail for booking and incarceration. No bond is set.
Ryan Sullivan, 23, 126 Mendoza Drive, Patterson, LA for criminal damage to property and on a warrant for failure to appear on the charges of driving under suspension and failure to obey traffic-control devices. A deputy investigating a complaint of a disturbance at a residence in Ricohoc learned that Sullivan and a female subject were involved in an argument when Sullivan punched the windshield of her vehicle. Sullivan was transported to the parish jail for booking and incarceration. Bond is set at $3,000.
