St. Mary Parish Arrest Report

According to St. Mary Parish Sheriff Mark Hebert, over the 72 hour holiday reporting period the Sheriff's Office responded to 109 complaints and reports the following arrests:

Glen D. Guthrie, Jr., 58, 103 Marin Lane, Patterson, LA was arrested on December 23, 2013 at 6:06 am for violation of the parish leash law. A deputy responded to an animal complaint. Upon arrival, the deputy learned from the victim that her neighbor's dog entered her property and killed one of her chickens. The owner of the dog was identified as Guthrie. He was released on a summons to appear in court on March 26, 2014.

Juvenile female, 15, Aransas Pass, TX was arrested on December 23, 2013 at 7:15 pm for theft of goods.

Tony Kaufman, 20, 113 Carriage Cove Lane, Franklin, LA was arrested on December 23, 2013 at 7:15 pm for contributing to the delinquency of a juvenile, illegal possession of stolen things, theft of goods, and obstruction of justice.

A deputy responded to a complaint of shoplifters fleeing on foot from a store in Bayou Vista. The juvenile female was located in nearby parking lot. The deputy was informed by store personnel that the juvenile was seen concealing items in her purse before leaving the store with a male subject. During the course of the investigation, the deputy learned that the juvenile was listed as a runaway from Texas and that she was travelling with Kaufman. Kaufman was located at a fast food restaurant in Bayou Vista. Through further investigation, the deputy discovered that Kaufman was in possession of a vehicle that was reported stolen from Texas. The vehicle was located at a motel in Morgan City. The juvenile was transported to the Assumption Parish youth detention center for housing. Kaufman was transported to the parish jail for booking and incarceration. He was released on a $32,000 bond.

Anthony Rink, 40, 411 B. Carol Road, Bayou Vista, LA was arrested on December 24, 2013 at 2:57 am for domestic abuse battery.

Rebecca Van-Matre, 39, 411 B. Carol Road, Bayou Vista, LA was arrested on December 24, 2013 at 2:57 am for domestic abuse battery.
A deputy responding to a complaint of a disturbance at the residence listed above learned that Rink and Van-Matre were involved in an argument that escalated into a physical encounter. Rink and Van-Matre were transported to the parish jail for booking and incarceration. Rink was released on a $5,000 bond. No bond is set for Van-Matre.

Andrew Stewart, 21, 266 Eves Street Sorrel, LA was arrested on December 24, 2013 at 9:51 am for possession of a firearm by a convicted felon. A deputy investigating a complaint of a stolen firearm learned that Stewart was in possession of the weapon. Stewart was transported to the parish jail for booking and incarceration. Bond is set at $50,000.

Joshua Perro, 25, 179 Eves Street, Sorrel, LA was arrested on December 24, 2013 at 12:28 pm on a warrant for failure to appear on the charge of domestic abuse battery. While investigating the complaint described in the above arrest, the deputy made contact with Perro and learned of the warrant for his arrest. Perro was transported to the parish jail for booking and incarceration. No bond is set.

Marcus Gray, 29, 116 Robicheaux Lane, Franklin, LA was arrested on December 24, 2013 at 8:05 pm on a warrant for simple assault. While responding to a complaint of a disturbance on Robicheaux Lane, a deputy made contact with Gray and learned of the warrant for his arrest. Gray was transported to the parish jail for booking and incarceration. Gray was released on a $250 bond.

Reneika Clark, 31, 106 Homestead Road, Patterson, LA was arrested on December 25, 2013 at 3:07 am for careless operation of a motor vehicle, hit and run driving, and expired license plate. A deputy investigating a complaint of a hit and run incident located and identified Clark as the driver of a car that crashed into a victim's parked vehicle. Clark was transported to the parish jail for booking and incarceration. Clark was released on a $2,000 bond.

Jamond Johnson, 24, 1006 Iberia Street, Franklin, LA was arrested on December 25, 2013 at 1:58 am for disturbing the peace (fighting).

Zadre Johnson, 20, 824 Park Street #64, Patterson, LA was arrested on December 25, 2013 at 1:58 am for disturbing the peace (fighting), and on a warrant for failure to appear on the charge of simple battery.

Deputies working to direct a crowd leaving the Patterson Civic Center observed two male subjects fighting outside. The subjects were detained and indentified as Jamond Johnson and Zadre Johnson. Both were transported to the parish jail for booking and incarceration. Jamond Johnson was reelased on a $250 bond. No bond is set for Zadre Johnson.

Marielle Washington, 19, 126 Baker Road, Franklin, LA was arrested on December 25, 2013 at 2:03 am for battery of a police officer. Washington grabbed a deputy's duty gear while the deputy was working to direct a crowd of people leaving the Patterson Civic Center. Washington was transported to the parish jail for booking and incarceration. Washington was released on a $1,000 bond.

Kurwin J. Jones, Sr., 25, 306 Wise Street, Morgan City, LA was arrested on December 25, 2013 at 1:50 pm on a warrant for failure to appear on the charge of domestic abuse battery. A deputy responding to a request to standby for a child custody exchange made contact with Jones and learned of the warrant for his arrest. Jones was transported to the parish jail for booking and incarceration. Bond is set at $3,500.

Drew Baugher, 24, 124 Mill Road, Patterson, LA was arrested on December 25, 2013 at 6:55 pm on three warrants for failure to appear on the charges of failure to comply with the terms and conditions of drug court (contempt of court). A deputy was contacted by Patterson Police in regards to a subject who held active warrants for his arrest. Baugher was transported to the parish jail for booking and incarceration. Bond is set at $300,000.

Travis L. Gilmore, 21, 720 Arlington Road, Bayou Vista, LA was arrested on December 25, 2013 at 10:48 pm for unlawful possession of plant products, possession of drug paraphernalia, resisting an officer with force, 2 counts stop sign violation. A deputy patrolling the Bayou Vista area observed the driver of a vehicle fail to stop at two stop signs and conducted a traffic stop at the intersection of Saturn and Southwest Roads. Upon making contact with the driver, the deputy saw a plastic bag containing syringes inside the vehicle. The driver was identified as Gilmore. Upon further investigation, the deputy determined that the syringes contained a vegetative substance. During the investigation, Gilmore yelled and cursed at the deputy. At one point, Gilmore lunged at the deputy. Gilmore was transported to the parish jail for booking and incarceration. No bond is set.
