According to St. Mary Parish Sheriff Mark Hebert, over the last 24 hour reporting period the Sheriff's Office responded to 41 complaints and reports the following arrests:
Shanna Johnson, 38, 238 South Clausen Road, Verdunville, LA was arrested on December 19, 2013 at 11:46 am on a justice of the peace warrant for cyber stalking. A deputy located Johnson on at her residence on the warrant. Johnson was released on a $500 bond.
Russell D. Allen, 44, 145 Mercury Road, Bayou Vista, LA was arrested on December 19, 2013 at 12:53 pm for open container. A deputy patrolling the Bayou Vista area was approached by a concerned citizen regarding a male subject drinking and alcoholic beverage in Central Park. The deputy located the male subject holding a can enclosed in a brown paper bag. When the subject saw the deputy, he began to pour out the contents of the beverage. The deputy made contact with the man, identified as Allen, and determined that the beverage was alcoholic beer. Allen was released on a summons to appear in court on March 26, 2013.
Tasha L. Kirt, 31, 176 Clausen Road, Verdunville, LA was arrested on December 19, 2013 at 2:39 pm on two warrants from the justice of the peace for cyber stalking and disturbing the peace. Kirt turned herself in at the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center in Centerville after learning of the warrants for her arrest. She was released on a $750 bond.
Joey Jack, Sr., 38, 126 Manigo Lane, Charenton, LA was arrested on December 19, 2013 at 6:48 pm on a warrant for unauthorized entry of an inhabited dwelling, simple battery, and theft. A deputy located Jack at his residence on the warrant. The warrant stems from an investigation into a complaint of an unauthorized entry. During the course of the investigation, the deputy learned that Jack entered the residence without permission, began an argument with the victim, threw a beverage onto the victim, and took cash from the home. Jack was transported to the parish jail for booking and incarceration. No bond is set.
Lakisha Butler, 29, 126 Judy Lane, Patterson, LA was arrested on December 19, 2013 at 9:11 pm for disturbing the peace (intoxicated) and on a warrant from Thibodaux Police for failure to appear on the charge of disturbing the peace. A deputy patrolling the Bayou Vista area responded to a complaint of a disturbance at a residence on Judy Lane. Upon arrival, Butler approached the deputy while yelling and using profanities. During the course of the investigation, Butler continued to scream and curse despite the deputy's repeated requests to stop. The deputy also learned of the warrant for her arrest. Butler was subsequently transported to the parish jail for booking and incarceration. No bond is set.
Beau J. Gaubert, 34, 305 Mobile Estates, Gray, LA was arrested on December 19, 2013 at 7:37 pm on the following charges:
Possession of synthetic cannabinoids with intent to distribute
Possession of drug paraphernalia
Possession of a controlled dangerous substance in the presence of a juvenile
Violation of a controlled dangerous substance law (drug free zone)
Warrant for failure to appear on the charge of driving under suspension
Warrant from the 32nd Judicial District for failure to appear on the charge of failure to pay child support
Kristie Dubois, 36, 600 Knight St. Apt. #37 Berwick, LA was arrested on December 19, 2013 at 7:37 pm for possession of synthetic cannabinoids and abuse of toxic vapors.
Detectives with the St. Mary Parish Sheriff's Office Narcotics Division along with officers with the Berwick Police Department went to 600 Knight St. Apt 37 in Berwick to conduct a narcotics investigation. Upon detectives and officers arrival, they made contact with Dubois who gave consent to search the residence. During the search, detectives located several packs of synthetics cannabinoids along with items of drug paraphernalia. Two children were also inside the residence at the time of the narcotics investigation. The residence is a Berwick Housing Authority unit which is a drug free zone. Gaubert was transported to the parish jail for booking and incarceration. No bond is set. Dubois was released on a summons to appear in court on March 26, 2013.
