According to St. Mary Parish Sheriff Mark Hebert, during the last 24 hour reporting period the Sheriff's Office responded to 49 complaints and reports the following arrests:
Mitchel Louis Bourg, 20, 101 Price Street, Montegut, LA was arrested on November 6, 2013 at 11:31 am on a warrant for failure to appear on the charges of possession of Schedule I, possession of drug paraphernalia, and abuse of toxic vapors. Bourg was located at the St. Mary Parish Courthouse in Franklin on the warrant. He was transported to the parish jail for booking and incarceration. Bond is set at $9,000.
Steven J. Tabb, 29, 107 Naquin Street, Baldwin, LA was arrested on November 6, 2013 at 4:09 pm on a warrant for issuing worthless checks. A deputy responding to a vehicle crash on Highway 182 in Baldwin made contact with Tabb and learned of the warrant for his arrest. Tabb was released on a summons to appear in court on January 31, 2014.
Stacey Tabor, 31, 722 4th Street, Morgan City, LA was arrested on November 6, 2013 at 5:17 pm for theft of goods. A deputy responded to a complaint of shoplifting at a store in Bayou Vista. Upon arrival, the deputy learned from store personnel that Tabor was seen concealing items in her purse. The employee also stated that Tabor ate an item without paying for it first. Tabor was released on a summons to appear in court on January 31, 2014.
Rickey J. Dotson, Jr., 36, 1103 LA Hwy. 83 Lot #24, Baldwin, LA was arrested on November 6, 2013 at 5:47 pm for disturbing the peace intoxicated. A deputy responded to a complaint of an intoxicated subject at a residence on Highway 83 in Baldwin. The deputy made contact with the subject, identified as Dotson, and smelled the strong odor of an alcoholic beverage on his breath and person. Dotson's speech was also slurred and he had difficulty maintaining his balance. The deputy learned from witnesses that Dotson was being disruptive. Following the investigation, Dotson was transported to the parish jail for booking and incarceration. Bond is set at $500.
Tyler Francis, 18, 313 B Venus Street, Bayou Vista, LA was arrested on November 6, 2013 at 3:15 pm for possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia. While assisting the St. Mary Parish Criminal Investigation Division with a case, detectives of the Narcotics Division went to the residence listed above. While at the home, detectives could smell a strong odor of marijuana. Detectives made contact with Francis who was found to be in possession of marijuana and items of drug paraphernalia including a grinder and rolling papers. Francis was released on a summons to appear in court on January 31, 2014.
