St. Mary Parish Arrest Report

According to St. Mary Parish Sheriff Mark Hebert, during the last 72 hour reporting period the Sheriff's Office responded to 109 complaints and reports the following arrests:

Jessica D. Brown, 21, 617 Teche Road, Bayou Vista, LA was arrested on October 10, 2013 at 12:11 pm for possession of Schedule I (synthetic cannabinoids). A deputy responded to a complaint of a disturbance at a residence on Teche Road and made contact with Brown. While speaking with Brown, the deputy observed her attempting to conceal a small bag in her hand. The bag contained synthetic marijuana. Brown was released on a summons to appear in court on January 10, 2014.

Warren Butler, III, 45, 312 Taft Street, Patterson, LA was arrested on October 11, 2013 at 2:11 pm on a warrant for failure to appear on the charges of speeding and driving under suspension. Butler was transported from the St. Martin Parish jail for the St. Mary Parish jail for booking and incarceration. No bond is set.

Alexis Henry, 28, 111 Fortier Circle, Jeanerette, LA was arrested on October 11, 2013 at 2:43 pm on a warrant from Jeanerette Police Department for theft by shoplifting. A deputy conducting a traffic stop on Highway 182 in Franklin made contact with Henry and learned of the neighboring agency's warrant for his arrest. Henry was transported to the parish jail for booking and incarceration. No bond is set.

Raymond Comeaux, 42, 1018 West Third Street, Franklin, LA was arrested on October 11, 2013 at 3:43 pm on a warrant for failure to appear on the charge of domestic abuse battery. Comeaux was transported from the Franklin Police Department to the St. Mary Parish jail for booking and incarceration. No bond is set.
Michelle A. Branson, 29, 5409 Bayou Black Drive, Gibson, LA was arrested on October 11, 2013 at 4:57 pm for theft of goods.

Jennifer M. Carlos, 32, 157 Bon Jovi Lane, Gray, LA was arrested on October 11, 2013 at 4:57 pm for theft of goods.

Mona Collins, 51, 194 B. Senator's Circle, Gray, LA was arrested on October 11, 2013 at 4:57 pm for theft of goods.

A deputy patrolling the Bayou Vista area witnessed a disturbance in a store parking lot. As the deputy approached, three subject involved in the disturbance attempted to get into a vehicle and leave. The deputy stopped the vehicle and detained the subjects identified as Branson, Carlos, and Collins. During the course of the investigation, the deputy learned from store personnel that Branson, Carlos, and Collins were observed placing items in their purses and leaving the store without paying for the goods. Store employees were attempting to stop the three subjects when the deputy intervened. Branson, Carlos, and Collins were released on summonses to appear in court on January 10, 2014.

Thomas Fontenot, 60, 121 St. Joseph Lane, Franklin, LA was arrested on October 11, 2013 at 5:54 pm for simple battery and simple criminal damage to property. A deputy investigating a complaint of a disturbance at residence on St. Joseph Lane learned that Fontenot and a female were engaged in an argument when Thomas struck the female victim breaking her eyeglasses. Fontenot was transported to the parish jail for booking and incarceration. He was released on a $1,000 bond.

Cline Richoux, Jr., 57, 119 St. Louis Street, Raceland, LA was arrested on October 12, 2013 at 6:50 pm for criminal mischief. A deputy responded to a complaint at a casino in Amelia, LA. Upon arrival, the deputy learned from casino personnel that Richoux could be seen on video surveillance purposefully activating a fire alarm. Richoux was released on a summons to appear in court on January 10, 2014.

Margaret Madrigal, 44, 231 Penn Street Apt. #2, El Segundo, CA was arrested on October 11, 2013 at 10:20 am for disturbing the peace. Deputies responded to a disturbance at a motel in Bayou Vista. During the course of the investigation, the deputies learned that Madrigal continually used profanities in the lobby of the motel. Madrigal was transported to the parish jail for booking and incarceration. Bond is set at $250.

Wade Rhodes, 51, 3803 Mount Street, Berwick, LA was arrested on October 12, 2013 at 5:00 pm on warrants for failure to appear on the charges of driving while intoxicated, angling without a license, and violation of recreational gear license required. A deputy responded to a report of a suspicious subject on Southwest Road in Bayou Vista. The deputy made contact with a subject identified as Rhodes and learned of the warrants for his arrest. Wade was transported to the parish jail for booking and incarceration. No bond is set.

Markila Ruffin, 20, 317 Easy Street, Franklin, LA was arrested on October 12, 2013 at 8:23 pm for theft.

Leshonta Lumpkin, 21, 114 Isabella Street, Franklin, LA was arrested on October 12, 2013 at 8:23 pm for theft.

A deputy responded to a complaint of shoplifting at a store in Bayou Vista. Upon arrival, the deputy learned from store personnel that Ruffin and Lumpkin were seen leaving the store without paying for items. Ruffin and Lumpkin were released on summonses to appear in court on January 10, 2014.

Jeffery McCormick, 8524 Brunet Road Apt. #714, Austin, TX was arrested on October 13, 2013 at 1:24 am for disturbing the peace intoxicated. A deputy responded to a disturbance on Degravelle Road in Amelia. Upon arrival, the deputy learned that McCormick was involved in a verbal argument with another subject. The deputy advised both subjects to settle in for the night. The subjects stated they would comply. Approximately 5 minutes after leaving the complaint, the deputy was contacted again regarding a second disturbance at the location. McCormick was transported to the parish jail for booking and incarceration. Bond is set at $500.

Michael Robicheaux, 62, 167 Eckart Drive, New Iberia, LA was arrested on October 13, 2013 at 7:03 am for driving while intoxicated and careless operation of a motor vehicle. A deputy responded to a report of a stalled vehicle on Highway 87 in Jeanerette. Upon arrival, the deputy observed that the vehicle was involved in a crash. The deputy made contact with the driver, identified as Robicheaux, and smelled the odor of an alcoholic beverage on his breath. Robicheaux performed poorly on the field sobriety test and refused to take a breath test. Robicheaux was transported to the parish jail for booking and incarceration. Bond is set at $6,000.
