According to St. Mary Parish Sheriff Mark Hebert, during the last 24 hour reporting period the Sheriff's Office responded to 41 complaints and reports the following arrests:
Katron Richard, 20, 810 Lovette Street, Jeanerette, LA was arrested on July 16, 2013 at 11:04 am on a warrant for failure to appear on the charge of criminal neglect of family. A deputy transported Richard from the Iberia Parish Jail to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center on the warrant. His bond is set at $1,500.
Juzazz Archield, 31, 1164 Silverwood Drive, Baton Rouge, LA was arrested on July 16, 2013 at 11:05 am on a warrant for failure to appear on the charges of operating a vehicle with an expired driver's license, possession of an open alcoholic container in a motor vehicle, and failure to dim headlights in oncoming traffic. A deputy transported Archield Richard from the Iberia Parish Jail to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center on the warrant. His bond is set at $1,500.
Titus Cornelius Trimm, 28, 154 Lloyd Lane, Morgan City, LA was arrested on July 16, 2013 at 12:11 pm on a warrant for aggravated second degree battery and resisting an officer. Trimm was also wanted on another warrant for failure to appear on the charge of driving while intoxicated. Trimm is being held at Morgan City Police Department. The warrant for aggravated battery and resisting an officer stems from an investigation that began in mid February when a deputy responded to a complaint of disturbance at a bar in Siracusaville. During the course of the investigation, the deputy learned that Trimm struck a male victim with a bottle causing multiple injuries. Also, Trimm gave the deputy a false name as his identity.
Dwayne Anthony Skinner, 21, 1207 Railroad Ave Morgan City, LA was arrested on July 16, 2013 at 5:47 pm on a warrant for attempted armed robbery with a firearm. He is also charged with possession of synthetic cannabinoids and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Detectives of the St Mary Parish Sheriff's Office Narcotics Division were patrolling the Morgan City area when they observed Skinner on Garber St. Detectives had knowledge that Skinner was wanted on a warrant and made contact with him. Detectives located synthetic cannabinoids and drug paraphernalia in Skinner's pockets.
The warrant stems from an investigation into a shooting in Amelia. The shooting occurred on Friday, June 14, 2013 around 2:00 am outside of a lounge located on Hwy. 182 near the Greenwood overpass. Three black males approached the male victim, a Hispanic male, and attempted to rob him. During the attempt, the victim was shot.
Skinner was transported to the parish jail for booking and incarceration. No bond is set. This is the second arrest made in this case. Paul Charles was arrested on June 28, 2013 on the charges of attempted first degree murder and attempted armed robbery with a firearm.
The victim of this crime has since been released from the hospital. The investigation is ongoing.
