According to St. Mary Parish Sheriff Mark Hebert, during the last 24 hour reporting period the Sheriff's Office responded to 60 complaints and reports the following arrests:
Jevon R. Smith, 35, 1119 Francis Street Patterson, LA was arrested on May 20, 2013 at 12:41 pm on a warrant for second degree battery. Smith turned himself on the warrant at the St. Mary Parish Sheriff's Office in Morgan City. The warrant stems from an investigation into a battery that occurred at Central Park in Bayou Vista on May 14, 2013. Using video surveillance footage, the deputy identified Smith as the suspect who punched a 25 year old male victim in the face. Smith was transported to the parish jail for booking and incarceration. He was released on a $7,500 bond.
Christian Marcel, 33, 1214 Delmar Rd. Bayou Vista, LA was arrested on May 20, 2013 at 6:22 pm for:
Possession of methamphetamine with intent to distribute
Distribution of methamphetamine
Possession of Schedule II (Roxicodone)
Possession of Schedule IV (Ambien)
Possession of Schedule IV (Klonopin)
Possession of Legend Drug (Fioricet)
Possession of a controlled dangerous substance in the presence of a juvenile
Violation of CDS law (Drug Free Zone)
Possession of drug paraphernalia
Paul Guidry, III, 36, 100 Lincoln St. Patterson, LA was arrested on May 20, 2013 at 6:22 pm for possession of drug paraphernalia and on a warrant from Assumption Parish Sheriff's Office for failure to appear on the charge of non support.
Cody Grandin, 36, 11732 Coon Rd. Bachelor, LA was arrested on May 20, 2013 at 6:22 pm for possession of methamphetamine, possession of Schedule III (Subutex), and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Detectives of the St. Mary Parish Sheriff's Office Narcotics Division conducted a search warrant at the residence of Marcel, 1214 Delmar Rd. in Bayou Vista. During the course of the investigation, detectives located methamphetamine, Klonopin pills, Ambien pills, Roxicodone pills, Fioricet pills, and items of drug paraphernalia. The methamphetamine had an estimated street value of approximately $1,400. Guidry and Grandin were at the residence at the time of the investigation. Detectives also located two small children inside the home. The children were released to a family member. All three suspects were transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center. No bond is set for Marcel and Grandin. Guidry's bond is set at $3,550.
