According to St. Mary Parish Sheriff Mark Hebert, during the last 24 hour reporting period the Sheriff's Office responded to complaints and reports the following arrests:
Eric Delcambre, 18, 430 Flattown Road Charenton, LA was arrested on April 25, 2013 at 3:02 pm for simple criminal damage to property. While patrolling the Baldwin area, deputies responded to a complaint of harassment at a residence on Highway 83. Upon arrival, the deputy learned that Delcambre had, on a previous day, attempted to kick in the door of the residence. While attempting to locate Delcambre, the deputies observed a vehicle that matched the description of the one Delcambre was driving that was stopped in the roadway on Cypremort Road. A traffic stop was conducted and the driver was identified as Delcambre. After further investigation, Delcambre was transported to the parish jail for booking and incarceration. His bond is set at $1,000.
Drala Kinkle, 17, 115 Mercury Street Pierre Part, LA was arrested on April 25, 2013 at 8:00 pm for modified exhaust and possession of Schedule I (marijuana). A deputy patrolling the Bayou Vista area observed a vehicle with loud, modified exhaust. Also, the deputy was unable to see the driver because of the tint on window of the vehicle. The deputy conducted a traffic stop and identified the driver as Kinkle. The deputy received consent to search the vehicle and Kinkle's person and located a marijuana cigarette in Kinkle's pocket. Kinkle was released on a summons to appear in court on July 5, 2013.
Bryson Verdin, 22, 149 Sun Road Bayou Vista, LA was arrested on April 25, 2013 at 4:55 pm on two warrants for failure to appear on the charge of possession of marijuana. Detectives of the St. Mary Parish Sheriff's Office were patrolling the Bayou Vista area when they were contacted to assist patrol with a complaint of a disturbance. Detectives made contact with Verdin who had active warrants for his arrest. Verdin was transported to the parish jail for booking and incarceration. No bond is set.
