St. Mary Parish Arrest Report

According to St. Mary Parish Sheriff Mark Hebert, during the last 24 hour reporting period the Sheriff's Office responded to 34 complaints and reports the following arrests:

Devontre Jones, 18, 1341 Martin Luther King Street, Charenton, LA was arrested on April 18, 2013 at 12:03 pm for simple battery. A deputy responded to a complaint of a battery at a residence on Martin Luther King Street in Charenton. Upon arrival, the deputy learned that Jones struck a female victim in the head. Jones was transported to the parish jail for booking and incarceration. He was released on a $500 bond.

Logan Charpentier, 20, 1533 Irish Bend Road Franklin, LA was arrested on April 18, 2013 at 1:53 pm on a warrant for simple criminal damage to property. Charpentier turned himself in at the SMPSO in Franklin after learning of the warrant for his arrest. He was released on a summons to appear in court on July 5, 2013.

Brandon Sauce, 21, 210 East Lawrence Street New Iberia, LA was arrested on April 18, 2013 at 3:29 pm on a warrant from Baldwin Police for aggravated assault. While patrolling the Centerville area, a deputy was advised of the location of a subject who an active warrant for aggravated assault. Sauce was located on Highway 317 in Centerville. He was transported to the parish jail for booking and incarceration.

Robert Beatty, 62, 100 Stephens Lane Centerville, LA was arrested on April 18, 2013 at 4:32 pm for disturbing the peace intoxicated. A deputy responded to complaints from concerned citizens of a subject asking for money and a ride. Upon arrival, the deputy located the subject, and observed him approaching vehicles as they drove by. The deputy made contact with the subject and smelled the strong odor of alcohol on his breath and body. Following an investigation, Beatty was transported to the parish jail for booking and incarceration. His bond is set at $250.
