St. Mary Parish Arrest Report

According to St. Mary Parish Sheriff Mark Hebert, during the last 24 hour reporting period the Sheriff's Office responded to 40 complaints and reports the following arrests:

Jesus Emanuel Ramos, 37, (No Residential Address Listed) Amelia, LA was arrested on April 1, 2013 at 12:52 pm for theft of goods. A deputy responded to the Cash Magic Casino and Truck Stop on Hwy. 90 in Bayou Vista, LA in reference to a complaint of a theft. Upon arrival, the deputy learned from store personnel that Ramos was observed placing an item in his pants. Ramos then attempted to leave the store without paying for the item. He was transported to the parish jail for booking and incarceration. His bond is set at $1,000.

Raymond Boutte, Jr., 47, 705 Vicnair Street New Iberia, LA was arrested on April 1, 2013 at 4:09 pm for driving while intoxicated 3rd offense, reckless operation of a vehicle with an accident, driving under suspension, possession of Schedule III (Lortab), and possession of Schedule IV (Xanax). A deputy responded to a complaint of a reckless driver on Highway 90 west in the Centerville area. While en route, the deputy received information from a SMPSO Narcotics Detective who observed the suspect vehicle drive off of the roadway and into the median near the Calumet bridge. The vehicle was stopped and contact was made with the driver who was identified as Boutte. Boutte slurred his words as he spoke and was unable to get out of the SUV he was driving due to damage to the driver's side of the vehicle. The Franklin Fire Department cut the driver's side door. After Boutte was removed from the vehicle, the detective observed multiple pills in plain view inside the SUV. The pills were identified as Lortab and Xanax. Boutte was transported to Teche Regional Medical Center for treatment. A deputy later made contact with Boutte at the hospital. Boutte refused to submit to an intoxication test. He was transported to the parish jail for booking and incarceration. No bond is set.
Garrick Stewart, 40, 1301 James Street Morgan City, LA was arrested on April 1, 2013 at 11:28 am on a warrant for failure to appear on the charge of driving while intoxicated. While investigating a complaint, a deputy made contact with Stewart. Upon conducting a warrants check, the deputy found that Stewart was wanted on the above charge. He was transported to the parish jail for booking and incarceration. No bond is set.

Juvenile male, 14, Patterson, LA was arrested on April 1, 2013 at 4:42 pm for theft of goods. A deputy responded to a complaint of shoplifting at Walmart in Bayou Vista. Upon arrival, the deputy learned from store security personnel that the juvenile male was observed opening and concealing items. The juvenile then attempted to leave the store without paying for the items. The 14 year old was released to a guardian pending juvenile court proceedings.

Jonathan Conner, 33, 1428 Saturn Road Bayou Vista, LA was arrested on April 1, 2013 at 5:04 pm for simple criminal damage to property and on a warrant for failure to appear for a traffic violation. A deputy responded to a complaint of a disturbance at a residence on Saturn Road. Upon arrival, the deputy learned that Conner and a female were engaged in a verbal argument when Conner ran from the residence. During his flight on foot, Conner damaged a fence at a residence on Burke Street. The deputy located Conner on Middle Street. Conner was transported to the parish jail for booking and incarceration. He was released on a $1,319.50 bond.

The SMPSO reports one additional arrest made on March 28, 2013.
Jayquan Marquelle Key, 19, 1508 Live Oak Street Lot B Patterson, LA was arrested on March 28, 2013 at 12:36 pm for simple criminal damage to property. On March 24, 2013 the SMPSO received a complaint of property damage on Murphy Street in the Patterson area. During the course of the investigation, the deputy discovered that Key spray painted graffiti on a trailer. Key was transported to the parish jail for booking and incarceration. He was released on a $1,000 bond.
