St. Mary Parish Arrest Report

According to St. Mary Parish Sheriff Mark Hebert, during the last 24\\72 hour reporting period the Sheriff's Office responded to 133 complaints and reports the following arrests:

Carol Guidry, 63, Solar Apt. #15, Morgan City, LA was arrested on February 22, 2013 at 9:56 am at the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center in Centerville on a warrant for issuing worthless checks. Guidry was released on a summons to appear in court on May 21, 2013.

Amanda McCormick, 35, 517 Woodhaven Drive, Houma, LA was arrested on February 22, 2013 at 3:19 on a warrant for failure to appear on the charges of operating a vehicle while under suspension, possession of an open alcoholic beverage in a motor vehicle, and speeding. A deputy located McCormick at the St. Mary Parish Courthouse in Franklin on the warrant. She was transported to the parish jail for booking and incarceration. She was released on a $12,000 bond.

Jody Landry, 21, 805 Teche Road, Bayou Vista, LA was arrested on February 22, 2013 at 11:06 pm for driving while intoxicated, hit and run, and careless operation with a crash. A deputy on patrol in the Bayou Vista area responded to a complaint of a hit and run in which a vehicle struck a mailbox and a road sign. Shortly before the complaint, the deputy had observed a truck matching the description of the suspect vehicle. The deputy located the suspect vehicle at the address listed above and made contact with the driver who was identified as Landry. The deputy observed Landry swaying back and forth where he was standing. The deputy also observed damage to the vehicle. During the course of the investigation Landry performed poorly on the field sobriety test. He later registered a .183g% on the intoxilyzer test. Landry was transported to the parish jail for booking and incarceration. He was released on a $3,750 bond.

Christopher Singleton, 27, 150 Friendship Alley, Amelia, LA was arressted on February 23, 2013 at 4:28 am for reckless operation of a vehicle and simple criminal damage to property over $1,500. A deputy responded to a complaint of a single vehicle crash on Friendship Alley in Amelia. Upon arrival the deputy learned that Singleton and a female subject were arguing when Singleton punched a door inside the residence listed above. Singleton and the female later got into the female's vehicle. Singleton, who was driving, accelerated quickly in reverse running the vehicle into a telephone pole. He then drove the vehicle into a wooded area. Singleton was transported to the parish jail for booking and incarceration. No bond is set.

Lynette C. Butler, 47, 492 Verdon Lane was arrested on February 23, 2013 at 9:08 am on a warrant for issuing worthless checks. A deputy located Butler at her residence on the warrant. Butler was released on a summons to appear in court on April 8, 2013.

Kiana Butler, 22, 1004 Birch Street, Morgan City, LA was arrested on February 23, 2013 at 10:01 am in Franklin on a warrant for issuing worthless checks. Butler was released on a summons to appear in court on May 21, 2013.

Thuy Thu Chau, 27, 514 Leo Drive, Patterson, LA was arrested on February 23, 2013 at 11:14 am on a warrant for issuing worthless checks. A deputy located Chau at her residence on the warrant. She was released on a summons to appear in court on May, 21, 2013.

Dionne M. Thomas, 41, 502 1/2 Lawrence Street, Morgan City, LA was arrested on February 24, 2013 at 8:10 am on warrants for issuing worthless checks. A deputy located Thomas at her residence on the warrants. She was released on a summons to appear in court on May 21, 2013.

Barbara G. Byers, 55, 417 1/2 Garber Street, Morgan City, LA was arrested on February 24, 2013 at 10:06 am in Franklin on a warrant for issuing worthless checks. She was released on a summons to appear in court on May 21, 2013.

Ann R. Brown, 42, 803 Park Street, Patterson, LA was arrested on February 24, 2013 at 2:01 pm on a warrant for issuing worthless checks. A deputy located Brown at her residence on the warrant. She was released on a summons to appear in court on May 21, 2013.

Eric Leleaux, Jr. 20, 3370 Fourth Street, Berwick, LA was arrested on February 24, 2013 at 4:17 pm on warrants for failure to comply with the terms and conditions of drug court on the charges of theft and unauthorized entry of a business. A deputy located Leleaux in the area of Hwy. 182 and Renwick Blvd. on the warrants. Leleaux was transported to the parish jail for booking and incarceration. His bond is set at $200,000.

Timothy Charles Bauer, 51, 301 Grizaffi Road #35, Morgan City, LA was arrested on February 24, 2013 at 4:26 pm for possession of marijuana, 2 counts battery of a police officer, simple criminal damage to property, disturbing the peace by using foul language, disarming a police officer, 2 counts of resisting a police officer, resisting a police officer by force, possession of drug paraphernalia, 2 counts threatening a public official, criminal trespassing, obstruction of justice. A deputy patrolling the Bayou Vista area responded to a report of a suspicious person on Clarke Road. Upon arrival the deputy made contact with a subject identified as Bauer. As the deputy began speaking with Bauer he became belligerent using profanity. The deputy observed Bauer attempting to hide a plastic bag containing suspected marijuana. The bag fell to the ground and Bauer stepped on it. When the deputy asked that Bauer move his foot, he refused. During the course of the investigation Bauer continually used foul language. As Bauer was being placed in the patrol unit he kicked a deputy in the face and also struck the deputy's duty weapon. Bauer was transported to the parish jail for booking and incarceration. No bond is set.

Samuel G. Horseley, Jr., 51, 7815 Pinebluff Road, Denham Springs, LA was arrested on February 24, 2013 at 6:05 pm for driving while intoxicated and careless operation with a crash. A deputy responded to a report of a vehicle crash on Highway 90 in Bayou Vista. Upon arrival the deputy made contact with the driver, identified as Horseley. While speaking with Horseley, the deputy smelled the odor of an alcoholic beverage on his breath. Through the course of the investigation the deputy learned that Horseley rear ended another vehicle that was stopped at the traffic light on Hwy. 90 at Southeast Boulevard. A witness stated that Horseley had removed an ice chest from his vehicle and placed it on the ground nearby. The deputy located the ice chest which contained an open can of beer along with several unopened cans. A field sobriety test was conducted on Horseley. He performed poorly. Horsely later registered a .104g% on the Intoxilyzer 5000 breath test. He was transported to the parish jail for booking and incarceration. No bond is set.

David Lenes Aucoin, 35, 216 Bank Street, New Iberia, LA was arrested on February 24, 2013 at 10:27 pm on a warrant for failure to appear for driving under suspension. A deputy patrolling the Franklin area responded to a report of a reckless driver on Highway 90. The deputy located the vehicle and observed it crossing the centerline and fog line. The deputy conducted a traffic stop. The driver was identified as Aucoin who was wanted on a warrant for failure to appear on the charge of driving with a suspended drivers license. Aucoin was transported to the parish jail for booking and incarceration. His bond is set at $2,500.

Gordon Chris Helman, 43, 1710 Main Street, Patterson, LA was arrested on February 22, 2013 at 1:06 pm for possession of marijuana, disturbing the peace, and failure to use a turn signal. Detectives of the St. Mary Parish Sheriff's Office Narcotics Division patrolling the Berwick area observed a vehicle fail to use a signal when turning and conducted a traffic stop. During the course of the investigation Detectives located marijuana. While speaking with Helman he bagan yelling and cursing. Helman was transported to the parish jail for booking and incarceration. He was released on a $2,500 bond.

Brandy Giroir, 28, 1316 Victoria Riverside Road, Patterson, LA was arrested on February 22, 2013 at 3:11 pm for possession of Schedule II (Lortab). Narcotics Detectives patrolling the Morgan City area observed a vehicle fail to signal a turn and conducted a traffic stop. During the course of the investigation Detectives located several Lortab pills on Giroir's person. Giroir was unable to produce a prescription for the pills. She was transported to the parish jail for booking and incarceration. She was released on a $5,000 bond.
