According to St. Mary Parish Sheriff Mark Hebert, during the last 24 hour reporting period the Sheriff's Office responded to 45 complaints and reports the following arrests:
Jeremy Butler, 26, 4076 Chitimacha Trail, Charenton, LA was arrested on February 21, 2013 at 10:33 am at the St. Mary Parish Sheriff's Office in Franklin for unauthorized use of a motor vehicle. On February 15, 2013 detectives began an investigation into a complaint of a vehicle crash in the Charenton area. During the course of the investigation detectives learned that Butler, the driver of the vehicle at the time of the crash, was driving without permission from the owner. Butler was transported to the parish jail for booking and incarceration. No bond is set.
Anthony Madison, Jr., 27, 611 Robert Street, Franklin, LA was arrested on February 21, 2013 at 11:20 am on a warrant for failure to appear on the charges of operating a vehicle without insurance and careless operation of a vehicle. After learning of the warrant for his arrest, Madison turned himself in at the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center in Centerville. He was released on a $3,000 bond.
Jamie Jet Faulk, 29, 112 Rice Street, Bayou Vista, LA was arrested on February 21, 2013 at 3:42 pm on a warrant for harassment. A deputy located Faulk at the parish courthouse in Franklin on the warrant. She was released on a summons to appear in court on May 21, 2013.
Steve Williams, 35, 110 Eisenhower Street, Baldwin, LA was arrested on February 21, 2013 at 4:36 pm on warrants for failure to appear on the charges of domestic abuse battery, driving while intoxicated 2nd offense, and simple battery. Williams turned himself in at the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center in Centerville. His bond is set at $12,000.
Juvenile female, 15, Patterson was arrested on February 21, 2013 at 5:01 pm at the St. Mary Parish Sheriff's Office in Morgan City for distribution of marijuana and introduction of contraband into a penal institution.
Detectives of the St. Mary Parish Sheriff's Office Narcotics Division were contacted to assist in an investigation at the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center in Centerville. Deputies at the jail received a Bible that contained marijuana hidden within it. Using surveillance video, detectives identified the subject who delivered the book as the juvenile female listed above. She was released to a guardian pending juvenile court proceedings.
