According to Sheriff Mark Hebert during the last 24 hour reporting period the Sheriff's Office responded to 32 complaints and reports the following arrests:
Juvenile male, 16, was arrested on October 8, 2012 at 3:14 pm at Patterson High School for obscenity. A deputy responded to a complaint of a student exposing himself to classmates. Upon arrival the deputy learned from a school administrator that the juvenile repeatedly exposed his private parts to other students in class. The juvenile was released to a guardian pending juvenile court proceedings.
Clarence Smith, 61, 107 Myra Street, Franklin, LA was arrested on October 8, 2012 at 5:57 pm at Walmart in Bayou Vista, LA for domestic abuse battery. A deputy responded to a complaint of abuse that took place inside the store. Upon arrival the deputy learned from witnesses that Smith struck the female victim multiple times. Smith was transported to the parish jail for booking and incarceration. No bond has been set.
Earlissa Triggs, 25, 742 Chetta Lane, Morgan City, LA was arrested on October 8, 2012 at 10:24 pm on warrants for failure to appear for a drug court on the charge of possession of cocaine and failure to appear on charges of issuing worthless checks. A deputy patrolling the Amelia area was dispatched to the residence listed above in reference to Triggs wanting to turn herself in on the warrants. Triggs was transported to the parish jail for booking and incarceration. No bond has been set.
