According to Sheriff Mark Hebert during the holiday weekend the Sheriff's Office responded to 159 complaints and reports the following arrests:
Marchall Spires, 45, 533 Teche Rd, Bayou Vista, LA was arrested on August 31, 2012 at 12:34 pm at the residence listed above for domestic abuse battery. A deputy responded to a disturbance at the home. Upon arrival the deputy learned that during a verbal altercation Spires struck the female victim several times in the face. Spires was transported to the parish jail for booking and incarceration. His bond has not been set at this time.
Shane Darrell Todd, 36, 518 Murphy St, Patterson, LA was arrested on August 31, 2012 on Willow Bend Lane in Patterson on warrants for failure to appear for criminal neglect of family. A deputy responding to a complaint on Willow Bend Lane came into contact with Todd and learned that he was wanted on the warrants. Todd was transported to the parish jail for booking and incarceration. His bond is set at $11,157.35.
Gregory Charles Hartman, 59, 730 Oregon St, Berwick, LA was arrested on September 1, 2012 at the Plantation Inn in Bayou Vista, LA for possession of drug paraphernalia.
Jeri Michelle Holley, 41, 100 Marin St, Patterson, LA was arrested on September 1, 2012 at the Plantation Inn in Bayou Vista, LA for possession of drug paraphernalia.
A deputy responded to a complaint of possible drug use in one of the rooms at the motel. Upon entering the room, a female identified as Holley, attempted to conceal an item that was behind some bed covers. During the course of the investigation the deputy located the item that was drug paraphernalia. Hartman and Holley were both released on a summons to appear in court on December 12, 2012.
Juvenile Male, 15, Franklin, LA was arrested on September 1, 2012 at 10:10 pm on the charge of ungovernable juvenile. A deputy responded to a complaint of a juvenile attempting to run away from home. The juvenile was located at the home and following an investigation was transported to the SMPSO in Franklin. The juvenile was later released into the custody of a parent pending juvenile court proceedings.
Olbin Lopez, 30, 7257 Hwy. 182, Amelia, LA was arrested on September 2, 2012 at 1:25 am at Sandy's Bar and Grill in Amelia for aggravated battery and disturbing the peace by fighting. A deputy responded to a complaint of a knife fight in progress at the bar. Upon entering the bar the deputy observed two males who appeared to be in an arm lock. The deputy learned from the victim and witnesses that during an argument Lopez pulled a knife and swung it at the victim. The victim sustained a cut on his hand. Acadian Ambulance treated the victim's wound on scene. Lopez was transported to the parish jail for booking and incarceration. His bond is set at $10,250.00.
Clifford Johnson, Jr., 148 Jones Rd. #2, Jeanerette, LA was arrested on September 2, 2012 at 2:03 pm at the residence listed above on a warrant for second degree robbery. A deputy responding to the home in reference to a complaint of property damage made contact with Johnson who was wanted on the warrant. The warrant involves an investigation that began in January of 2011. The victim was punched in the face multiple times and robbed of several hundred dollars in cash on Charles Ln. in Four Corners. At the time of the robbery the victim was brought to a local hospital for treatment. Johnson was transported to the parish jail for booking and incarceration on the warrant. His bond is set at $100,000.
