St. Mary Parish Arrest Report

According to Sheriff Mark Hebert during the last 24 hour reporting period the Sheriff's Office responded to 28 complaints and reports no arrests.
Joaquima J. Brown, 18, 618 12th St, Franklin, LA was arrested on August 10, 2012 at 2:00 am at the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for possession of Schedule I (marijuana), possession of drug paraphernalia, entering contraband into a penal institution, and a warrant for failure to appear on the charge of simple battery.
Deshineda Conner, 25, 501 ½ Ninth St, Franklin, LA was arrested on August 10, 2012 at 2:36 am at the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for driving under suspension and failure to provide proof of insurance.
A deputy was called to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center where two subjects had been detained. Upon arrival the deputy learned from jail personnel that Brown was observed placing a package beneath a garbage can outside the jail building. Contained in the package were cigars, lighters, rolling papers, cigarettes, loose tobacco, and marijuana. During the course of the investigation the deputy learned that Conner drove Brown to the jail. Conner was released on a summons to appear in court. Brown was booked and incarcerated at the parish jail. No bond had been set at the time of the press release.
