According to Sheriff Mark Hebert during the last 24 hour reporting period the Sheriff's Office responded to 45 complaints and reports the following arrests:
Tammy Cavalier, 41, 120 Derrick St, Pierre Pt, LA was arrested on August 2, 2012 at 6:55pm at the Wal-Mart in Bayou Vista, LA for theft. A deputy responded to a complaint of a shoplifter at the store. Upon arrival the deputy learned from store security that Cavalier had been observed placing items in her purse. Cavalier then attempted to leave the store without paying for the merchandise valued at about $102. Cavalier was released on a summons to appear in court on October 29, 2012.
Tieann L. Deville, 35, 5338 Hwy. 182 West, Patterson, LA was arrested on August 2, 2012 at 10:14pm at the address above for disturbing the peace by fighting.
Mindy M. Aucoin, 33, 165 Cane Dr, Centerville, LA was arrested on August 2, 2012 at 10:35pm at the address above for disturbing the peace by fighting.
A deputy responded to Franklin Foundation Hospital in reference to a battery complaint. During the course of the investigation the deputy learned that Deville and Aucoin had gotten into a fistic encounter on the levee at Caumet Cut. Both were transported to the parish jail for booking and incarceration. Both were later released on a $250 bond.
Nicolas Chauvin, 33, 213 ½ Mercury St, Bayou Vista, LA was arrested on August 3, 2012 at 12:42 am on Francis St. in Berwick, LA for domestic abuse battery. While patrolling the Bayou Vista area a deputy responded to a complaint of a battery at the residence on Mercury Rd. During the investigation the deputy learned that Chauvin and the victim were arguing when Chauvin struck the victim in the face. Chauvin was located on Francis St. He was transported to the parish jail for booking and incarceration. No bond had been set at the time of the press release.
Jason J. Ashley, 24, 121 Calument Cut Lane, Ricohoc, LA was arrested on August 3, 2012 at 12:53 am at the address above on 2 warrants for failure to appear. A deputy responded to a hang up call to 911 from the residence. During the investigation the deputy learned that Ashley was wanted on the warrants. Ashley was transported to the parish jail for booking and incarceration. No bond had been set at the time of the press release.
