St. Mary Parish Arrest

Paris Bias, 22, 2994 4th Street Berwick, LA was arrested on April 15, 2013 at 10:08 am on warrants for Terrebonne Parish for theft of goods under $500 and remaining where forbidden. A deputy located Bias at a Garber Street address in Morgan City. She was transported to the parish jail for booking and incarceration.Bias was later transferred to another jurisdiction.

Shaneal Williams, 24, 6307 Bayou Black Road Gibson, LA was arrested on April 15, 2013 at 11:08 am on two warrants for issuing worthless checks. A deputy located Williams in Amelia on the warrants. She was released on a summons to appear in court on July 5, 2013.

Juvenile male, 16, New Iberia, LA was arrested on April 15, 2013 at 11:48 am for theft. Detectives began investigating a complaint of a theft of a dirt bike in Charenton on April 14, 2013. The dirt bike was recovered. The juvenile was released to a guardian pending juvenile court proceedings.

Othon Valdez Matus, 33, 120 Chenault Street Apt. #2 Morgan City, LA was arrested on April 15, 2013 at 3:01 pm for careless operation of a motor vehicle and operating a vehicle without lawful presence in the United States. A deputy patrolling the Amelia area responded to a two vehicle crash on Duhon Road in Amelia. The deputy made contact with both drivers. Through the investigation, the deputy learned that a driver, identified as Matus, rear ended another vehicle at the traffic light on Hwy. 182 and Duhon Road. Matus could not produce a driver's license nor was he did he have one on file. Matus was transported to the parish jail for booking and incarceration. No bond is set.

Trolaycia L. Guidry, 18, 110 Jude Drive Thibodaux LA was arrested on April 16, 2013 at 1:03 am for theft of goods.

Lasheaka A. Johnson, 18, 1400 MLK Drive #40 E Thibodaux, LA was arrested on April 16, 2013 at 1:03 am for theft of goods. A deputy investigating a complaint of shoplifting at Walmart in Bayou Vista obtained a description of the vehicle in which the shoplifters fled. The description included the license plate number. The vehicle belonged to a Thibodaux resident. Contact was made with Thibodaux Police. Using the information provided Thibodaux Police located two female subjects, identified as Guidry and Johnson, who had borrowed the vehicle. Guidry and Johnson were transported to the St. Mary Parish Sheriff's Office in Morgan City to speak with the deputy. Following the investigation, both were released on a summons to appear in court on July 5, 2013.

Todd Anthony Bergeron, 29, 2700 Ambassador Caffrey Lafayette, LA was arrested on April 15, 2013 at 9:49 pm for possession of synthetic marijuana, abuse of toxic vapors, reckless operation with an accident, and no evidence of compulsory motor vehicle liability security in vehicle (no proof of insurance). A deputy responded to a complaint of a vehicle in a ditch off of Hwy. 90 in Amelia. Upon arrival, the deputy made contact with a witness who stated that the vehicle was driving in the median when the driver re-entered the roadway cutting off an 18 wheeler. The deputy made contact with the driver who was identified as Bergeron. The deputy received consent to search the vehicle and located a pack of synthetic marijuana and burnt synthetic marijuana cigars. Bergeron was transported to the parish jail for booking and incarceration. No bond is set.
