The St. Mary Parish Sheriff's Office Narcotics Division reports the following arrests:
Edwin Calloway age 31 of 406 First St. Morgan City, LA was arrested on 9/21/12 at 312pm on Fifth St. Morgan City, LA with charges of:
Possession of Cocaine W/I/T/D
Obstruction of Justice
Transactions Involving Drug Proceeds
No Driver's License
On Friday, September 21, 2012, Agents of the St. Mary Parish Sheriff's Office Narcotics Division were patrolling the Morgan City area. Agents observed what appeared to be a hand to hand transaction between two subjects. Agents made contact with one of the subjects, identified as Edwin Calloway. Calloway dropped a bag of cocaine in an attempt to hide it from Agents. Calloway also had an open beer inside the vehicle and no driver's license on file. Agents also seized $258.00 in US currency, pending forfeiture. Bond set at $35,500.00.
Tyler Osburn age 20 of 1817 Dale St Morgan City, La. was arrested on 9/21/12 2:59 PM at
Third St Morgan City, LA on Charge:
Possession of Schedule II (Adderal)
On Friday, September 21, 20120, at approximately 2:15 PM Agents of the St Mary Parish Narcotics Division, observed a truck fail to use a turn signal when turning onto Ferret St from the Exit Ramp of Highway 90. Agents made contact with the driver of the vehicle Tyler Osburn. During the investigation, Osburn granted agents verbal consent to search the vehicle, which agents located an Adderal pill. Osburn was transported to the parish jail for booking and incarceration. He was released on $5000.00 bond.
Lori Falls Thompson age 50 of 582 ½ Young St. Berwick, La was arrested on 9-21-2012 at 4:45pm at the Same Address on charges of:
Poss. Of Sch. IV Xanax W/I/T/D, Poss. Of Drug Paraphernalia, Poss. Of Synthetic Cannabanoids 2nd Offense
On Friday, September 21, 2012, at approximately 4:00PM Agents of the SMPSO Narcotics Division conducted a narcotics investigation at 582 1/2 Young St. Berwick, the residence of Lori Falls Thompson regards to receiving multiple complaints regards to illegal narcotics activity taking place at the residence. While there agents received consent to search the residence and located synthetic Cannabanoids, Sch. IV Xanax pills, and smoking devices utilized to smoke Cannabanoids. Thompson was placed under arrest and transported to LEC for booking. No bond at press time.
