St. Mary Drug Task Force Arrests Two On Drug Offenses

The St. Mary Multi-Jurisdictional Drug Task Force, consisting of St. Mary Sheriff Dept., Morgan City Police Dept., Franklin Police Dept., Baldwin Police Dept.., Berwick Police Dept., and Chitimacha Police Dept.. report the following arrests:

Jared Fremin 18 yoa of 2001 Main St., Patterson was arrested on 12-28-2009 at 5:04 pm for Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. Agents of the Narcotics Task Force were patrolling Hwy 182 in the Patterson area, when they observed suspect vehicle fail to signal as he turned onto Zenor Road.

Agents conducted a traffic stop. During investigation a search of vehicle was conducted with Agents locating drug paraphernalia behind the passenger seat on the floor board. After investigation suspect was placed under arrest and issued a summons to appear in court on 2-17-2010.

Christina L. Pitre 30 yoa of 731 Fortins Dr., Berwick was arrested on 12-28-2009 at 8:51 pm for Possession of Somas, Possession of Xanax, Possession of Lorcet and warrants for Failure to Appear on the charge of Driving Under Suspension and No Seat Belt and Failure to Appear for Criminal Neglect of Family. Agents of the Narcotics Task Force were patrolling the Morgan City area, when they observed a patrol car with a vehicle stopped at

Brashear Ave. and Federal Ave., Agents stopped to assist. Agents located above suspect a passenger in the vehicle, who had warrants for her arrest. Upon placing suspect under arrest she advised that she had a bag on her person containing several pills and turned them over to Agents. Suspect was booked into the parish jail with no bond at this time.
