St. Mary Drug Task Force Arrest Report

The St. Mary Parish Sheriff's Office Narcotics Division reports the following arrests:

Floyd Malveaux, Jr., 31, 271 Grandwood Apts. # 29, Patterson, LA was arrested on August 8, 2012 at 4:58 pm on Polaris Rd. in Bayou Vista, LA for possession of marijuana with intent to distribute, possession of cocaine with intent to distribute, possession of hashish with intent to distribute, possession of a firearm in the presence of a CDS, keeping a disorderly place, and resisting an officer by giving false information.

Michelle Singleton, 28, 271 Grandwood Apts. # 29, Patterson, LA was arrested on August 8, 2012 at the address above for possession of marijuana with intent to distribute, possession of cocaine with intent to distribute, possession of hashish with intent to distribute, possession of a firearm in the presence of a CDS, keeping a disorderly place, and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Agents with the narcotics division conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle being driven by Malveaux. During the course of the investigation agents located marijuana in the vehicle which led to the execution of a search warrant at Malveaux's residence. Agents located hydroponically grown marijuana with an approximate street value of $17,050 and cocaine with an approximate street value of $5,000, hashish, and items of drug paraphernalia in the apartment. Agents also seized $5,325 in cash (U.S. currency) and two vehicles are pending forfeiture. These arrests are the result of a long term investigation by the SMPSO Narcotics Division. Both Malveaux and Singleton were transported to the parish jail for booking and incarceration. No bond has been set at the time of the press release. Attached is a picture of the items seized and mugshots of both suspects.

Mark Mayon, 52, 169 Shady Grove Dr, Patterson, LA was arrested on August 8, 2012 at 10:02 pm at the address above for possession of marijuana.

Cindy Mayon, 50, 169 Shady Grove Dr, Patterson, LA was arrested on August 8, 2012 at 10:02 pm at the address above for possession of marijuana.

Agents conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle that failed to use a turn signal. Agents made contact with the driver, identified as Mark Mayon, and the passenger, identified as Cindy Mayon. Agents received consent to search the vehicle and located marijuana. Agents then furthered their investigation at the Mayon residence (169 Shady Grove). After receiving consent to search the home agents located more marijuana. Both suspects were placed under arrest and released on a summons to appear in court on October 29, 2012.
