St. Mary Daily Arrest Reports 01/17/2012

According to Sheriff Mark A. Hebert during the last 96 hours the Sheriff's Office responded to 136 complaints and reports the following arrests:
Crystal D. Hart 27 yoa of 915 Short St., Morgan City was arrested on 1-13-2012 at 10:57 am on a warrant for Failure to Appear for Probation Hearing. Suspect was located at her residence, placed under arrest and booked into the parish jail with no bond at this time.
Jessicah Johnson 19 yoa of 412 Bowman St., Morgan City was arrested on 1-13-2012 at 11:51 am for Disturbing the Peace. Agents were conducting an investigation at above location when suspect came to residence and began causing a disturbance. Suspect was advised several times to calm down, suspect refused and was placed under arrest and booked into the parish jail with a $250.00 bond and was later released.
Brandon Mitchell 30 yoa of 1105 Sixth St., Morgan City was arrested on 1-13-2012 at 1:59 pm on a warrant for Issuing Worthless Checks. Suspect was located on
Eighth St.
in Morgan City, placed under arrest and issued a summons to appear in court on 4-16-2012.
James M. Scanlan 47 yoa of 3416 Lake Palourde Road, Amelia was arrested on 1-13-2012 at 9:00 pm for Disturbing the Peace Intoxicated and Resisting an Officer. Deputy was called to West Side Lane in reference a disturbance. Upon Deputy's arrival suspect was located and upon Deputy attempted to speak with suspect he was cursing and intoxicated refusing to cooperate. Suspect was placed under arrest and booked into the parish jail with a $1250.00 bond at this time.
On 1-13-2012 at 11:31 pm two Male Juveniles 16 yoa of Baldwin were arrested fro Curfew Violation. Deputy was called to
Clausen Road South
in reference to a vehicle in the cane field. Deputy located suspect vehicle and after investigation placed both juveniles under arrest, processed and released to guardian pending juvenile court proceedings.
Harry Wills 52 yoa of 750 Degravelle Road, Amelia was arrested on 1-14-2012 at 6:31 pm for Terrorizing and Simple Criminal Damage to Property. Deputy was called to Prime Man Power in reference to alarm activation. Upon Deputy's arrival it was learned from complainant that above suspect had activated the fire alarm twice and had damaged it. After speaking with witnesses suspect was placed under arrest and booked into the parish jail with no bond at this time.
Kirk J. Butler 101 3B's Lane, Bayou Vista was arrested on 1-14-2012 at 10:44 pm for Possession of Marijuana 2nd Offense, two counts of Resisting an Officer, Obstruction of Justice and Littering. Deputy was patrolling the Bayou Vista area, when he came upon suspect walking on
Saturn Road
. Deputy conducted an investigative stop on suspect and observed him drop a bag to the ground. When Deputy attempted to conduct investigation with suspect he fled on foot. Deputy gave out description of suspect to other units. Deputy retrieved a bag of marijuana that suspect had dropped. While searching the area for suspect another Deputy located suspect and gave chase apprehending him in a yard on
Saturn Road
. After investigation suspect was placed under arrest on above charges and booked into the parish jail with a$7100.00 bond at this time.
Gregory V. Causey 24 yoa of 315 Railroad Ave., Morgan City was arrested on 1-15-2012 at 4:08 am for two counts Second Degree Battery and a warrant for Failure to Appear for Driving under Suspension and Expired Inspection Sticker. Deputy was called to Tabu Night Club in reference a fight. Upon Deputy's arrival victims advised that an altercation had occurred in the bar and when they were leaving above suspect committed a battery upon them. Both victims were taken to Teche Regional Medical center for their injuries. Deputy located suspect and brought him in for questioning. After investigation suspect was placed under arrest and booked into the parish jail with a $15,000.00 bond at this time.
David Baptiste 45 yoa of 2948 Rebecca Lynn Ave., Baton Rouge, La. was arrested on 1-16-2012 at 8:15 pm for Speeding and Driving Under Suspension. Deputy was patrolling Hwy 182 in the Siracusa area, when he observed suspect vehicle speeding and conducted a traffic stop. During investigation it was also learned that suspect was driving under suspension. Suspect was placed under arrest and issued a summons to appear in court on 4-16-2012.
