St. Martinville man arrested for aggravated rape

On Monday October 26, 2009 Warrants Detectives with the Lafayette Parish Sheriff's Office arrested 30 year old Chad Maturin of St. Martinville. Maturin was arrested on an outstanding warrant for aggravated Rape, which stemmed from a 2006 case.
In February of 2006 a 12 year old female reported that she had meet Maturin at a friend's house and went for a ride with him. He then brought her to a residence in Youngsville and forced her to have sex with him. Maturin fled and was never located, the case was sent to the District Attorney's Office and a warrant was issued for his arrest.
On Monday October 26, 2009 Maturin' was located and arrested without incident in St. Martinville; he is presently incarcerated at the LafayetteParishCorrectionalCenter with a $350,000 bond.
