St. Martinville man accused of carnal knowledge of a juvenile

A St. Martinville man was arrested today for alleged felony carnal knowledge of a juve
On November 14, an investigation was initiated in reference to an alleged sexual abuse of a juvenile female. Through the course of the investigation the suspect was identified as Shantley Batiste, 21, of St. Martinville.
On November 28, 2012 a Warrant of Arrest was obtained for Batiste for Felony Carnal Knowledge of a Juvenile
On November 29, 2012 the Warrant of Arrest was executed by the St. Martin Parish Sheriff's Office and Batiste was arrested without incident. He was booked into the St. Martin Parish Correctional Center and his bond is set at $40,000.00.
