ST. MARTINVILLE, La. (AP) - The St. Martin Parish School Board will interview its three candidates for superintendent of schools during a special meeting on Dec. 19.
James Blanchard, board president, says the interviews will be held in executive session, which is the same way the board conducted its interview of Superintendent Richard Lavergne.
Blanchard said the board will vote on Lavergne's replacement at its regularly scheduled meeting on Jan. 9.
Two of the three administrators who applied for the position work for the St. Martin Parish School System.
Daniel Rawls has been principal at Stephensville Elementary School since 2010, and Lottie Beebe has served as the school district's human resources director since 2003.
Charles Michel is the supervisor of special education in Lafourche Parish.
