St. Landry Parish educators may soon receive a pay raise.
The St. Landry Parish School Board will hold a special meeting Thursday night to vote on a pay bump for teachers, administrators, and support staff. Educators in the system had their salaries frozen prior to last school year. District officials say this move would unfreeze those salaries and allow teachers to be paid based on their most-recent degree and actual years of service.
If approved, the raises would take effect immediately.
