St. Landry president vows veto of airport panel

St. Landry parish president Bill Fontenot says he will veto a parish council vote to bring back an airport commission.
The council approved the plan to re-establish a council-appointed seven-member commission overseeing the parish airport.
But Fontenot says creating another commission adds another layer of government.
Council members who voted in favor of the commission say it would create a system of checks and balances.
The council chairman says he is certain members would override a veto.
