Deputies say he's armed and dangerous and he's on the run.
St. Landry Parish detectives are tracing the steps of 38-year-old Kenneth Crouch- who now has multiple warrants for his arrest after police say he beat two women in their own home.
"He says no, if y'all gonna call the cops and I'm gonna go to jail, somebody's gonna die!" Marie Jeanis recalled the last time she saw Crouch, "he whips out a knife."
Jeanis says she was once engaged to Crouch- who's now wanted on at least four warrants including aggravated assault.
Now, Jeanis is back at home for the first time in days... the first time since she says crouch brutally beat her and her daughter just outside their own home. Her memory, still hazy.
"I just remember hitting the ground then I remember waking up, coming to, and he's still punching me behind the head."
Jeanis says she ran outside, but Crouch caught up to her- beating her against the side of her house before Jeanis could escape to a neighbor's house.
"The charges this individual faces are very serious charges," St. Landry Parish Deputy, Jimmy Darbonne said.
St. Landry deputies say Crouch likely fled to Texas with a stolen hand gun.
"He could be penned up for a long time if found guilty on the charges we have on this warrant," Darbonne said. "Yes, he's considered armed, yes, he's considered dangerous."
A dangerous man Marie Jeanis wants off the streets.
"I want him caught before he hurts somebody else," Jeanis said.
There's a reward for up to a thousand dollars for information that could lead to Crouch's arrest.
