St. Landry Parish residents can get rid of their household hazardous waste this Saturday November 6, 2010.
It's open to all residents of St. Landry Parish. Participants must show proof of residency. Acceptable proof includes driver's licenses, water bills, utility bills, etc.
ACCEPTED:
paints
automobile batteries
motor oil
antifreeze
household cleaners
household chemicals
pesticides
flammables
corrosives
medications
tires (limit 5 per person)
florescent tubes and bulbs
computers, monitors, printers, scanners
cell phones
cell phone batteries
PROHIBITED:
infectious and medical wastes
biological and radioactive materials
compressed gas cylinders
ammunition
fire extinguishers
smoke detectors
explosives
