Acadiana will continue to experience warm spring-like conditions through Friday with highs in the 70s under partly to at times mostly cloudy skies.
The risk of fog will develop late at night and during the early morning hours as the moist southerly flow continues off of the Gulf of Mexico.
A weakening cool front will try to usher in slightly cooler conditions for the weekend, but the same front will stall along the Louisiana Coast Saturday and then move back northward across the area Sunday.
This means more clouds this weekend along with a slight chance of an isolated shower, mainly Saturday.
Highs this weekend should be closer to the mid-60s Saturday and upper 60s to near 70 Sunday...which is still above normal for the time of year.
We'll be back into the warmth early next week with highs in the mid-70s, perhaps upper 70s, before an approaching frontal trough induces better rain chances mid-next week.
Drier cooler conditions are currently anticipated for the first weekend of February.
