In this segment of "Spirit of Acadiana" Scott Brazda informs us of the Day of Literacy. The Day of Literacy is book drive hosted by the United Way of Acadiana. The drive starts Thursday, February 28, 2013 and last until Thursday, March 7, 2013. This community-wide book drive, in partnership with local United Ways and school systems throughout Acadiana, puts age-appropriate books in the hands of students, helping to foster early grade literacy.

**One book really can make a difference.**

Drop off your new or gently-used books at the following locations:
All United Ways in Lafayette, Opelousas, Jennings, St. Landry and Evangeline. The Acadia, St. Martin and Vermilion parish school boards. The Ville Platte city Hall.
