Spirit of Acadiana: Cane Cutters Military Night/ LGMC Moore Update

In this segment of "Spirit of Acadiana", a "well-placed" thank you or a round of applause reminds these folks that we appreciate their efforts. The Acadiana Cane Cutters are going the extra mile to salute the brave men and women who protect our country both here and abroad.

The Acadiana Cane Cutters will host Military Appreciation Night, this Saturday, June 8th, at Fabacher Field. The Cane Cutters are inviting all active duty personnel and veterans to attend the game. Members of the military need to call the Cane Cutters' office to pre-register for up to four free tickets.

There will be exhibits and demonstrations; Civil war re-enacters at Fabacher. The first pitch is at 7 p.m. Saturday night.

Military folks call 337-451-6582 to reserve those tickets and get more information.

An update on the Lafayette General Medical and its fundraising efforts for the people of Moore Oklahoma. On Tuesday's "Spirit of Acadiana" LGMC's employees purchased t-shirts and raised well over $15,000 to help with the rebuilding of the Moore Medical Center. What we didn't tell you is that "you" can help! You can join the team, and it simply requires a donation.

All donations to Lafayette General for Moore Medical Center will be re-direct to Moore Medical Center.
