Some businesses say coupons won't be honored from Bigtip.com

A warning tonight.
Bigtip.com is the website that at least three businesses say scammed them. Recently the Zoo of Acadiana honored the websites coupon to a customer but say they later found out they were scammed. Customers are just as frustrated as business owners. Poor Boy's at Riverside Inn, Sophi P. Cakes and Hardy's cleaners all say they didn't know anything about bigtip.com coupon deal and it would have been nice if the company notified them. The website is very similar to Groupon or Living Social. You sign up through Facebook or start a gold pass trial. For example if you click on Poor Boy's Riverside Inn you can purchase one entree at regular price and receive ten dollars off the second entrée.
Also the coupon expiration date is 14 days from the time you print the voucher. However business owners say, how can they honor a coupon deal they're not in involved in.
"They're picking their favorite little spots to go and they're being told no I'm sorry this coupon is not good, which puts a very bad taste in the situation where we actually do coupons with legitimate people," said Poor Boy's Owner Lori Hurst.
We've contacted the website several times saying we've received several complaints and have gotten no response.
