Soldiers from Texas, Arkansas die in Afghanistan

WASHINGTON (AP) - Soldiers from Texas and Arkansas have been killed in an improvised bombing in Afghanistan.
The Department of Defense says both victims were based in Fort Polk, La.
DOD on Sunday announced the deaths of 22-year-old Pfc. Ira B. Laningham IV of Zapata, Texas, and 25-year-old Spc. Ethan C. Hardin
of Fayetteville, Ark.
The agency says both men died Friday of wounds suffered in an attack by insurgents at Logar Province, Afghanistan. Pentagon
officials say the unit also came under small arms fire.
Laningham and Hardin were assigned to the 2nd Battalion, 30th Infantry Regiment, 4th Brigade Combat Team, 10th Mountain Division
at Fort Polk, La.
