BATON ROUGE, La. (AP) - A social worker at a state juvenile
detention center has been booked with malfeasance in office and
fired for an alleged sexual relationship with a 20-year-old inmate,
according to a Baton Rouge newspaper.
The Advocate reports that 39-year-old Lashonda Lang, of Baton
Rouge, was a social worker at the Jetson Center for Youth in Baker.
She was arrested Thursday and booked into the East Baton Rouge
Parish Prison, where she's being held on $25,000 bond.
An arrest warrant says Lang was responsible for counseling the
inmate when the alleged relationship began at some time last year.
