Soaking rains and the possibility of strong storms will be the order of business for the latter half of the work week.
The strongest storms will be off to our north, parts of Alabama and Tennessee could even be looking at a slight tornado threat.
Although not anticipating severe weather in Acadiana some of the storms could be quite strong and produce some damaging winds.
The main line of storms is anticipated to move through Thursday evening through the early morning hours of Friday.
Heavy rains are expected and anywhere between 1" and 1.5" can be expected across parts of Acadiana, with southeastern parts of the state picking up slightly higher rain totals.
Sea fog will once again be likely Wednesday night and Thursday morning, but as the winds pick up on Thursday the fog will start to lift.
Winds will be gusty through out the day on Thursday and we could even see winds getting as high 28 mph.
The front will be clearing the area by midnight and partly cloudy skies will be the order of business for Friday.
