Smoke Shop owner arrested; two wanted in synthetic marijuana bust

Lafayette Metro Narcotics agents have confirmed that both the home and business raided yesterday belonged to the same man.

Mohammed Abdallah faces a number of drug charges relating to the alleged sale of synthetic marijuana out of the Smoke Shop in the 3300 block of Johnston Street.

Officials say undercover agents bought synthetic marijuana from the Smoke Shop several times during the course of the investigation of the establishment. Investigators say they found more than $14,000 worth of fake weed when they raided the business.

Two other alleged accomplices are wanted in connection with the case. Joshua Sheppard is wanted on charges he manufactured, possessed, and distributed Schedule I narcotics. Troy Manson is wanted on drug distribution charges.

If you know Sheppard's or Manson's whereabouts, call Crime Stoppers at 232-TIPS.
