Small church bus crash hurts several in Lafayette

LAFAYETTE, La. (AP) - Police say a small bus carrying several members of a church crashed, injuring six to eight young adults.
Lafayette police spokesman Cpl. Kyle Soriez said the shuttle-type bus and an SUV collided along Acadian Hills Lane, which parallels Interstate 10, about 7 p.m. Monday. He says the crash in rainy weather was not head-on. He says none of the injuries were life-threatening.
He says the injured were taken to area hospitals, but he didn't know what church the passengers were from.
Police are investigating how the accident happened.
