St. Landry Parish Sheriff's Office Spokesperson Captain Megan Vizena visited Eunice Elementary to speak to the children about anti-bullying and internet safety. She discussed different forms of bullying to children such as physical, verbal, cyber and emotional.
"Having a conversation about bullying is a good start. We want to give these students the chance to talk about what is happening in their schools," said Captain Vizena.
"It's our responsibility as role models to teach them how to resolve arguments without violent words or actions. These students need to know that they can report to their teacher or principal if they are being bullied," Vizena added.
