After a round of active showers and thunderstorms Thursday evening, slightly drier and more stable air is expected to follow from the north to the south for Acadiana's Friday and Saturday.
There will still be a risk of scattered storms Friday afternoon, but activity should confined closer to the coastal parishes.
Rain chances and humidity will be lowest for our Saturday, but sultry conditions will likely return late Sunday.
Daytime temperatures will push into the mid-90s Friday, and low-mid 90s Saturday and Sunday.
Scattered afternoon storms should return Sunday as tropical moisture returns and likely stays for much of next week.
