A Tangipahoa Parish grand jury has indicted a man on second-degree murder charge in the April shooting death of his wife in April.
District Attorney Scott Perrilloux says Richard LaGarrigue was indicted in the shooting death of 28-year-old Heather LaGarrigue in their Loranger home on April 23.
Deputies say Richard LaGarrigue allegedly grabbed a handgun while arguing with his wife and shot her once before running away.
Henderson police officers caught LaGarrigue, who now lives in Slidell, more than two hours later during a traffic stop in St. Martin Parish.
