A skull found in St. Landry Parish yesterday has been sent to LSU to see if any DNA can be extracted from it. Sheriff Bobby Guidroz says a homeowner on Daisy Lane called his office after her dog came back home with a human skull. Deputies used dogs to search the woods, but they could not find a gravesite or other remains. Investigators are hoping the forensics lab can help them determine a sex or race, so they can match up the details with missing people cases in the area.
