Two Ville Platte sisters were arrested for allegedly shoplifting from a Eunice business.
On May 6, 2013 the Eunice Police Department responded to Wal-Mart after receiving a report of shoplifters on premises, according to Deputy Chief Vardern Guillory.
Wal Mart loss prevention representatives officers detained Hedi Guillory and Chasity Guillory were detained by officers during an investigation.
During the investigation with , officers learned that Hedi entered Wal-Mart with a large purse while Chasity entered with a large diaper bag, according Guillory.
According to Guillory, both women went to different areas of the store placing various items into the bags. Hedi made several trips to a car in the parking lot where she allegedly placed the merchandise from her purse then went back for more. Chasity Guillory had a total of $225.30 worth of stolen merchandise in her possession when she was detained, stated Guillory. The stolen merchandise discovered in the car totaled $992.88. Both were placed under arrest and transported to Eunice PD for booking. Both appeared before 27th Judicial District Judge James Doherty and bond was set at $5000 each.
