Shreveport singer to appear on 'American Idol'

SHREVEPORT, La. (AP) - Shreveport native Natalie Hanson will be among the contestants featured when "American Idol" returns for its season premiere Wednesday and Thursday night.
The Times reports that Hanson, a graduate of Huntington High School, was among the many who auditioned when the show held a
casting call in New Orleans last summer.
The 20-year-old is the daughter of David Hanson, the lead guitarist of The Voodudes, a popular local band. She appears on the
show Thursday.
