Shreveport police arrest man in stabbing death

SHREVEPORT, La. (AP) - Shreveport police have made an arrest in a stabbing that left one man dead.
A Sunday news release says police responded to a fight in progress Saturday night, and found 27-year-old Tyrone L. Miles of Shreveport, suffering from serious stab wound injuries. Miles was later pronounced dead at the hospital.
Detectives arrested 36-year-old Derrick Edwards of Shreveport at the scene. Following an interview with Edwards, he was booked on charges of second degree murder.
Police say the fight was apparently between family members and involved several people.
It was not immediately clear if Edwards has an attorney.
