SHREVEPORT, La. (AP) - The news on fares wasn't encouraging as a group of Shreveport residents gathered to hear details on developing a master plan for the Shreveport airport.
The Times of Shreveport reports that industry analyst Mike Boyd told the group Thursday that the cost to fly won't be getting cheaper.
Boyd also said that Shreveport Regional Airport's average fare in 2010 was $317 - at least $70 more than the mean cost for tickets in similarly sized markets such as Augusta, Ga., and Scranton, Pa.
Boyd said Shreveport must focus on getting outsiders -
particularly business leaders from India and China.
