A cold front will drift into the area Friday bringing unsettled weather across the region over the next couple of days. Thousands are heading to the Crescent City for the New Orleans Bowl where the UL Ragin' Cajuns will battle San Diego State University.

Occasional rain will greet travelers on Friday, with a little less coverage of rain for tailgaters Saturday at Champion Square. Since the front is expected to drift southward into the Gulf of Mexico, slightly cooler air will filter in. Temps during the day should reach the mid 60s, but cooling off at night with lows in the 40s. Of course, inside the Superdome for the game Saturday conditions will be perfect thanks to indoor climate control!!!
