To say that the weather has been exceptional this passed weekend would be the understatement of the century. Despite a very cold start to Sunday with temperatures down in the mid 30s the afternoon turned out to be a warm one. Highs were back in the 60s Sunday and with warm air out of the south coming in we can expect a warm start to the week.
Unfortunately, it won't stay like this for much longer. Clouds move in Monday afternoon with decent rain chances moving in behind them. Models have been bringing the showers in earlier and earlier, but as of now you could expect the bulk of the rain to get started right after lunch time.
The wet weather will stick around into the early hours of Tuesday morning, don't rule out a rumble of thunder or a flash of lightning but there is not a real chance for these storms to turn severe. We could be seeing around another inch of rain added on top of what has already been a very wet February.
The chance for rain returns late Wednesday with storms becoming stronger into Thursday. There is a slight chance we are in for a few severe storms on Thursday with strong winds being the main concern. Keep in mind that is still several days out so things change, but right now it looks like we will be in for scattered showers and storms to start the week and even at the end of the week. So definitely keep those umbrellas handy these next couple of days.
